A Brief History Of YZI

In The Beginning
The MOB (Mail Order Brides) were a Band That Changed Personnel Many Times. Though The Nucleus Of The Band, Pete, Dave, Jan Allan and Sue Remained The Same. The MOB  Played Mainly Original Songs.  In The Featured Photo From Left To Right: Fred, Dave Hynds, Sue, Allan & Jan Rudin. See  MP3's
Moving On
The MOB Finally Came To A Close And Allan And Sue Looked For Musicians To Join Them In A New Venture Yet To Be Named. They Began Writing Songs Of Their Own And With The Help Of Many Musician Friends Songs Like Sue's PEACE, Little White Line, Days Go Slowly, Galleons And Other Songs Began To Emerge. The Band Grew In Size Until There Were 13 Of Them And The Name YZI (pronounced Wise Eye) Was Thought Up By Rod  One Night During Rehearsals. Maybe 13 Was An Unlucky Number   ........................... See MP3's
Then There Were Two
YZI Were Too Big And One By One The Various Members Moved On Leaving Allan and Sue Alone. So A Change of Direction Was Called For and Allan and Sue Went in to the "Covers Business" Singing Their Own Versions Of  "Popular Songs" In Local Pubs and Clubs. They Very Quickly Built Up A Following In & Around Birmingham And The Black Country.   See  MP3's
